GLASS LENSES

Our shop is proud to present you an impressive range of lenses of different refringences and properties. You can find here anything: from affordable lenses of European and Korean production to high-quality Japanese lenses.

All modern glass lenses can be easily divided into mineral and polymer.

Mineral lenses (glass) has been the most popular for making glasses with small dioptre, because of its low cost. The great advantage of such lenses is their resistance to physical action. They can be scratched less likely.

However, significantly higher dioptres thicken the lens, making it heavier, and therefore unattractive for permanent use. Properties of glass does not allow opticians to produce glasses on the screws and the line. Besides mineral lenses can not be tinted.

Our practice let us determine the group of glass lenses indented to better meeting the needs of our customers in the category «low price – great quality»: Supra Lite – mineral lenses from 250 rubles. Such small dioptres lenses are most suitable to wear, when lenses are constantly exposed to mechanical impact.

The main advantage of polymeric (plastic) lenses is the ease and convenience of usage. The composition of polymer lens allows inflicting various covers on them:

  • Reinforcing cover (increases resistance to abrasion and lens scratching)
  • Clearing cover (enhances clarity of the image)
  • Hydrophobic (water-repelling cover)
  • Antistatic
  • Antiglare, metallized
  • Antibacterial
  • Protection from UV
  • Protection from computer radiation
  • Tinting covering

NGlobal – polymer lenses produced by Hanmi Swiss Company (South Korea) These thinned (1.56) lenses are covered with the largest number of protective layers, including protection from computer radiation and 100% protection from UV rays.

Glance – light, thinned (1.67), aspherical lenses produced by World Vision (Korea). These lenses, with all possible coatings are well suited for people whose vision requires constant correction to 6-8 dioptres.

We can not say that the other lenses of German, French or Japanese manufacturers that we sell are worse than the above mentioned. On the contrary – the life of the lenses and frames from Europe and Japan can be 3 years and above.

Scientific and technological progress has its positive impact on the production of polymer lenses, improving covering layers, inventing lightweight and durable materials for polymer lens manufacture.

For many years the most popular and affordable polymer material for the manufacture of lenses has been CR 39. Lenses made of this material have been successfully tested for impact resistance with a steel ball weighing 16 grams that was dropped onto the lens from 127 cm height. Cost of polymer lenses made of CR 39 most of all depends on the number of protective coatings on them.

Besides lenses vary by index of refraction (1.50, 1.56, 1.61, 1.67, 1.74). The higher the index is, thinner and lighter the lens is, but its cost increases correspondingly, due to the complexity of the production process.

Aspherical design of polymeric lenses of the latest generation is able to send the image onto the retina without any distortions even on the edge of the lens. Flat and thinned profile of such lenses will ensure elegant and aesthetic appearance of your glasses.

Besides in our shop we have available polymer photochromic lenses of different diopters (1200-1800 rubles), with gray and brown darkening effect, which guarantee pleasant everyday wearing of corrective glasses. Polymeric lenses can be tinted in different colors of visible spectrum of any density according to your choice.
